Penny Johnson

Vice President

My name is Penny Johnson. I am currently the vice president of the Friends of Manchester Library( FOML).

My primary duty as VP is to assist the board president, currently Dave Denniston, and be prepared to step in and preside over board meetings if the president is absent or unavailable. Since Dave has presided over nearly all meetings, I have helped with any overflow assignments.

Over the years that I have been working with the FOML, I have appreciated learning the meeting process from all experienced board members and feel honored to have an opportunity to be involved with the extraordinary people of the Manchester community.

John Winslow

Secretary

As the FOML Secretary, I consider myself to be the “right hand man” to the President and all the other Board members. If it’s an administrative detail, I should know what it is, and help any of the officers handle those details.

My personal advantage in this role is that I have been an officer of the Friends since 2004! I get a lot of satisfaction in this role as I see how effectively the Board operates and gets important tasks completed to allow the effective operation of our branch of Kitsap Regional Library.

The Friends own the branch building, and I’m really proud of the building’s successful role in our community!
